1959年并入一个耕作区，1961年体制下放后单独成立坛顶大队，后改为坛顶村，设村委会。[1]
2021年11月，本村被命名为「2021年福建省卫生村」。[1]
人口民族[edit]
村民集居于一个自然村，全村1700多人、452户，未注统计年份。[2]
经济[edit]
村中种植龙眼与柑桔。[2]
2021年12月，因以肉食品加工为主业，本村入选「泉州市2019—2021年度市级一村一品专业村（乡镇）」；2023年12月，本村获「2023年度福建省一村一品专业村」认定，行业为肉食品加工。[1]
