溪井村在河市镇西部，距镇区约5公里，东与溪山村相邻，南与马甲镇彭殊村为邻，西与南安市接壤。[1][2]

村名的来历：境内溪流众多，溪口多筑坎井以防旱灌溉，形成溪多井少之势，遂称溪井。[1][2]

人口民族[edit]

村内住有洪、林、丁三姓，博雅地名网分别记为定居400多年、250多年与500年；全村现有人口1050人，未注统计年份。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

1949年初，本村与周边几个村合成一乡；1961年，本村从乡中分出单独建队，下设下庵、溪口与井仔三个自然村，驻地溪口。[1]

2021年11月，本村获「2021年福建省卫生村」称号；2020年12月，本村于「绿盈乡村」泉州市中级版名单上列名；2024年6月，列入「福建省第四批高级版绿盈乡村」名单。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

村内现存清代民居15座，其中六座带有「三雕」装饰。[2]
