历史沿革[edit]
市田原与邻村同为一个大队。1961年体制下放后分出，单独建队；1984年改为市田村，设村委会，驻下古院，辖市田、顶古院、下古院三个自然村。[1][2]
2020年12月，本村被认定为2020年泉州市中级版「绿盈乡村」；2021年11月，福建省爱卫办命名本村为「2021年福建省卫生村」。[1]
