新告村在河市镇北部，东邻惠安县兰田村，西靠仙公山一带，北与厝斗村相连，河市东溪的源头即在本村。[1]

村名的来历：村址近双髻山，早先称新吉，后因谐音改称新告。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

旧时新告为晋江县锦峰乡四十四都的双髻保。1961年起按大队建制运作，1984年改称新告村，并设村委会。[1]

2021年2月，本村入选「福建省2018—2020年度省级文明村镇社区」名单；2024年2月，被确定为「第二批福建省乡村振兴示范村镇」创建对象。[1]

人口民族[edit]

村内设21个村民小组，其中含17个自然村，共888户、3074人，面积18平方公里，博雅地名网未注统计年份。畲族聚居的四个小组近500人。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

新告顶桥为宋代古建筑，位于村部东侧约1公里处，列入「第四次全国文物普查新发现不可移动文物名录（第一批）」。[2]
