炉田村在马甲镇东北部，离镇政府约8.2公里，四周为海拔六百米以上的山峦，地势较高，北邻仙游县。[1][2]

村名沿用迁居前的原籍地名：早年王氏族人自安溪县炉田乡迁来，仍取旧地之名。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

解放初，此地与邻村同属一乡；公社化以后拆为两个大队，分别以炉田和梧峰为驻地名。到1987年体制改革，才改设炉田村委会，驻地仍在炉田。[1]

2021年6月，村落进入省级传统村落的第四批名单；同年11月，省爱卫办授予「2021年福建省卫生村」称号。[1]

全村辖3个自然村。除王氏宗祠外，早年的古建筑已所剩无几，村内另有妈祖宫、小学与医疗站。[2]

村中山地多，林木资源丰富，适宜发展种养业。[2]
