前溪村位于罗溪镇镇中心区，村前有溪流经过，村名由此而来。[1]

村域东侧邻接双溪村与柏山村，西侧通往南安市，南面借万虹公路与三合村相连，北面两条溪流在这里汇合。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村庄在明清时属四十七都，民国时隶大罗溪乡的前溪保，新中国成立初设第一区前溪乡。[1]

1958年，此地设为罗溪公社前溪大队；1969年起改由泉州市罗溪公社管辖；1984年称罗溪乡前溪村，其后归入罗溪镇，改称前溪村。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

村内下官路一带有金谿黄氏大宗祠，为市级文物保护单位，详见「罗溪镇」条目。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2004年，村庄获泉州市委、市政府授予的「宽裕型文明村」称号。[2]

2015年2月，中央文明委决定授予村庄「第四届全国文明村镇」称号。2025年，村庄继续保持「全国文明村」荣誉。[1][3]
