阳江社区位于洛阳江西岸、赤崎山东麓，距双阳街道驻地约7公里[2]。社区现分为池透、埭北归侨、田寮归侨三个自然村组[1][2]。

历史沿革[edit]

明清时期此地属晋江县四十一都；民国时期归晋江县河市区管辖；解放初为三区的一部分，之后划入梧宅耕作区[1]。1960年双阳建场时，这里被并入双阳，设为阳江管区，驻地在埭北[1]。1998年农场拆场建镇，设立阳江居委会；2005年9月撤镇设街道，阳江居委会改为阳江社区居委会[1]。

社区概况[edit]

社区内的妈祖宫源自湄州的妈祖信仰，宫后有千年古榕，供居民纳凉[2]。

2024年12月，社区上榜「2024年福建省儿童友好社区」名单[1]。
