院前社区是福建省泉州市洛江区万安街道下辖的社区，位于泉州市东门外，华侨大学南面约3公里，临群星水库，距泉州市城区约10公里。[1][2]

地名与历史沿革[edit]

地名由来与明代的一座西姑院有关：明代此处有西姑院，后来谢氏兄弟弃官归乡，带着子孙在院前一带定居，院前由此得名。[1]西姑院始建于明代万历年间，规模宏大，现仅存残砖断壁。[1][2]1997年前，社区属鲤城区城东镇；2001年万安镇改为街道，同时设立院前社区居民委员会。[1][3]

文物[edit]

西山脚下立有石将军像两尊，后人为纪念谢氏先祖，将其立于墓前。[2]
