群山社区在泉州北门外，位于北峰街道东北部，靠近清源山西麓，北面到双阳山南麓，2003年改称群山社区居委会。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

清代此地属晋江县三十九都，民国时归晋江县西北镇。新中国成立初期隶属南台区群石乡，1958年成为北峰人民公社的群山大队。[2]

1960至1961年间，此地一度称北峰人民公社第一农场。1984年归北峰乡群山村委会管辖；2003年起，这里成为群山社区居委会。[2]

社区下辖5个自然村。据百度百科，它们是山院、上村、下村、竹脚与玉井。[1][4]

古迹与山林[edit]

境内有朋山古道、陈三桥与瀑布等古迹。[1]

清源山脉中的将军山，据博雅地名网所载，是明代福建游击将军苏有朋的墓地所在。[3]
