招集社区位于泉州市区西门外，南临晋江，西面与南安市丰州镇接壤，是丰泽区最西端的社区，2003年村改居。[2][4]

历史沿革[edit]

民国时此地隶属南安县丰州镇；新中国成立后改属南安县第九区西贤乡。1958年，它被划归泉州市北峰人民公社，成为招集大队。[2]

1984年改为北峰乡下的招集村，2003年村改居，设立北峰街道招集社区居委会。[2]

地名由来[edit]

清末此地种甘蔗者众，榨糖作坊林立，1947年设立糖厂，地名由此而来。[2]

自然村与人口[edit]

社区包括四个自然村及山水秋鸣秋小区，设7个居民小组，户籍人口2140人。[1]

蔬菜种植[edit]

当地种菜历史悠久。博雅地名网载，社区1999年建起无公害蔬菜试验场，2002年获准使用无公害农产品标志，列为全省第一批，当时全省共八家。[3]
