滨城社区位于东海大街中段，成立于2009年8月，是东海街道的一个社区。[1]

社区东临泉州师范学院与市政府，西临晋江大桥，属东海街道调整后保留的9个社区之一。[3][4]

地名由来[edit]

博雅地名网说，社区靠近大海，取「滨海之城」的寓意，因而得名。[2]

位置与交通[edit]

社区办公处设在太古广场二期一带。东海大街、东海经八路北段与支十四路延伸段构成主要的交通要道。[3]

人口与设施[edit]

2021年，社区辖区面积2.5平方千米，设16个居民小组、20个居住小区，住户14673户。常住人口为3448户9025人，另有流动人口一万余人。[1]

社区驻区单位10家，活动场所面积800平方米。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2015年9月，社区获丰泽区授予安全生产方面的先进称号。2017年4月，社区被评为丰泽区文明社区，属第十届评选。[1]
