金崎社区位于晋江下游，地处东海街道的沿海突出部分，以海洋捕捞和渔业为主，兼营养殖与小商贩。[1]

社区是东海街道调整后保留的9个社区之一。[3]

地名由来[edit]

博雅地名网说，鹧鸪山上曾长出一种会发光的蘑菇，采摘后次日又会再生。村民视作吉兆，便在山上建屋定居，村落遂以「金崎」为名。[2]

位置与人口[edit]

社区的四邻：东边是沿海大通道，西边接后埔社区，南边靠浔埔社区，北边与东滨工业区相接。辖区面积约1平方千米。[1]

2021年，社区有5个居民小组、400多户。全社区人口逾3000人，常住者1400余人，外来流动人口约1800人。[1]

民俗与建筑[edit]

当地妇女的头饰称为「头上花园」，民俗与浔埔女相近。社区简介称金崎为福建省「四大渔女」之一。[1]

闽南特色的「蚵壳厝」在社区中普遍可见。因历史悠久，丰泽区将其列为重点发掘保护项目。[1]
