东梅社区位于泉州市丰泽区东部，成立于2003年4月，辖区面积2.3平方千米。社区是东海街道调整后保留的9个社区之一。[2][3]
社区原有5个自然村，其中3个在2024年4月金崎片区改造项目（二期）中拆迁。[2]
地名由来[edit]
博雅地名网称，因社区在东海街道境内，早年有梅姓人家来此建居，故称东梅。[2]
沿革[edit]
明末清初，此地属晋江县涂门外三十六都，称宁海埔。民国期间称东边乡。解放后，先后归晋江县第三、第四区与池店区长兴乡管辖。[1]
县市分治之后（1951年），这里划入泉州市的临海乡。进入1958年，它归属东海人民公社的东海大队。1984年，改设为东海乡下的东梅村委会，驻地东边村。[1]
人口与自然环境[edit]
2021年的统计：住户1005户，居民2650人，其中外来人口超过1700人。管辖范围含4个自然村、1个居民小区及11个居民小组。[1]
东梅水库与柯厝水库位于辖区，沿海滩涂出产蛏、海蛎、对虾和螃蟹。[1]
寺庙与设施[edit]
辖区内有上帝宫、观音宫两座宫庙，海滩上有桂屿、竖人石等景观。[1]
社区内有一所本科院校、一所小学和一所幼儿园。[1]
