北星社区位于泉州市政务中心所在地的东部，依山临海。辖区面积约3.87平方千米，下辖12个居民小组和两个住宅小区。[2][3]

社区属东海街道，是街道调整后保留的9个社区之一。[5]

位置与范围[edit]

据百度百科，社区的四至大致为：东以丰海路为界，西抵观音山，南面是双垵街，北面临通港东街。[4]

地名由来[edit]

博雅地名网称，境内有一块宝地，地形呈北斗七星的样子，社区因此得名。[3]

居民与住宅[edit]

2025年，社区约有流动人口2200人，户籍人口则在6760人左右。辖区内有海星小区和海星扩建一期小区两个住宅小区。[2]

2021年的资料显示，社区另含莲垵、坪上两个自然村，并有香缤小区。[1]

党建与服务[edit]

社区党委下辖3个党支部，分别为海星第一党支部、海星第二党支部和莲垵党支部。辖区有泉州银行党委、「泉州港务集装箱股份有限公司」党委等非公党组织。[2]

2021年，社区设有一站式便民服务大厅，并建有四星级的居家养老服务站，与医疗服务相结合。[1]
