后厝社区位于东海街道，南临晋江沿岸，东邻后埔社区，西接法石社区。早年因欧氏居住而称欧厝，后刘氏等迁入，改称后厝。[2][3]
社区于2020年12月征迁，居民迁往周边，社区居委会迁至宝山社区办公；安置回迁房于2024年12月完成选房。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
百度百科的记载是：此处早先叫欧山或周山。明景泰年间有黄姓迁来，聚落遂称金欧，后写作金瓯。社区历史可追溯到明朝。[3]
本地农地历来稀少，村民多离乡谋生，有人远赴东南亚多地经商，故此有侨乡之称。[1]
侨资办学[edit]
丁马成与何瑶琨倡议，由在新加坡经营的激成公司股东出资，在当地兴办私立激成小学，学校的教学开支也由出资的股东承担。文革期间，学校由泉州市教育局接管为公立，改名泉州市华侨小学。[1]
该校于2011年9月停办，学生转入第四中心小学。[1]
名胜与文物[edit]
后厝丁马成宅建于民国，为市级文物保护单位，博雅地名网归入近现代重要史迹。[4]
社区内的庙宇有英烈侯慈灵殿、圣仁宫和澄清府宫，另有金瓯怀恩堂作为骨灰堂。[1]
