地名由来[edit]
金屿原与凤屿合称乌屿，后因王、董两姓不和而分开。[2]董姓经济较为宽裕，所居之地便取名金屿。[2]
历史沿革[edit]
据百度百科，社区下辖乌屿、董厝两个自然村，1961年从乌屿村中独立建村。[4]原先居民以打鱼为生，20世纪70年代建成南北两条海堤后，居民多转往外地务工。[3]2003年社区设立，社区内旧村仍在。[1]
名胜古迹[edit]
金屿境内有盘光塔与盘光亭遗址，盘光塔已定为市级文物。[4]盘光塔与盘光亭遗址一起，构成“洛阳双虹”的历史景观。[4]南宋时期此地建有盘光桥和盘光塔。[4]
人口与社会[edit]
据2025年12月丰泽区人民政府公布的情况，全社区有961户住户，3412名常住人口，另有450名流动人口，党员77名。[1]2021年，丰泽区委把先进基层党组织的称号授予社区。[1]2022年1月，社区桥头片区拆迁完毕，目前只剩旧村。[1]
