前头社区在丰泽区东北部，属城东街道管辖，东面临海，南接桃花山，北邻通海社区。[1][2]社区辖区面积约1.5平方千米，由前头、东头两个自然村组成，2003年3月设立社区。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

社区由东头村析出，因位于东头村之前而得名。[2][4]清代此地属三十七都渡头铺，新中国成立初期隶晋江县第三区，1950年为浔美乡所辖。[2]1956年改属东星乡，1958年归东海公社管辖，1961年为城东公社的前头大队。[2]1984年称城东乡前头村，2003年改设前头社区。[1][2]

人口与经济[edit]

据2025年12月丰泽区人民政府公布的情况，社区常住1602户、6499人，辖区内有一处大型商业综合体和4个居住小区。[1]社区经济以近海养殖为主，主产蛏、海蛎及蛏苗，另种植龙眼。[4]

社区南面接桃花山森林公园，园内有桃花山休闲山庄等场所。[2][3][4]
