环山社区位于清源山脚下，泉山大道穿境而过，西临拒洪社区，北靠清源山，是清源街道下辖的社区。[1][3]社区原为环山村，名称取自村民环绕山麓建居之意。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1984年以前，此地为北峰人民公社环山大队；1984年设北峰乡环山村委会，1991年改称北峰镇环山村公所，此后为村委会。2003年5月，设清源街道环山社区居委会。[2]2021年9月，社区党支部升格为党总支。[3]

名胜古迹[edit]

李尧宝墓位于清源山老君岩西侧，属近现代重要史迹，为市级文物保护单位。[1][4]

面积与人口[edit]

据政府2026年1月的公示，社区的辖区面积为1.2平方千米；共分9个居民小组、4个网格，仅有1个居住小区。住户797户，其中常住622户、2100人，另有约3000名流动人口。驻区单位计8家。[3]博雅地名网所载占地约12万平方米，与政府公示的面积不一致，两说并存。[1]
