历史沿革[edit]
清代，此处归泉州府晋江县的泉山铺一带管辖，在三十九都之内；民国时期为晋江县西北镇的护城保。新中国成立初并入泉州市南台区的环山乡，1958年成为北峰人民公社下的普明大队，1984年又改称北峰镇普明村。[1]2003年4月30日，该村改制为清源街道普明社区，并设立居民委员会。[1]
据百度百科，社区的历史可追溯到明代，曾为明代官员庄钦邻的故里，留有「冢宰井」等古迹；清代施琅将军也曾在此启蒙。[2]
荣誉[edit]
2021年2月，社区列入「福建省2018-2020年度省级文明村镇社区」名单；2024年12月，社区上榜「2024年福建省儿童友好社区」名单。[1]
