灯洲社区属泉秀街道，位于街道东部，东邻灯星社区，西与鲤城区临江街道相接。社区的前身是灯洲居委会与新荣居委会，2002年改设为社区。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

清代此地隶属三十五都的御殿头铺，民国时属法石镇，建国后归晋江县第三区管辖。1951年县市分治之后，划入泉州市南台区。1958年时称东海公社灯洲大队，1984年变为东海乡灯洲村，2002年改设社区。[2]

旧时此处原为沙洲，村民以捕鱼为生，夜间江上渔灯闪烁，社区因此得名。[2]

2002年村改居以后，社区因多次片区改造征迁，涉及居民1203户，征迁面积0.40平方公里，成为城市回迁安置社区。[1]

人口民族[edit]

2021年的统计显示，流动人口5550人，常住人口6197人；社区党员180名。居住小区11个，居民小组26个，住户1980户。[1]

文化[edit]

2014年12月，社区被泉州市科学技术协会评为「社区科普益民先进社区」；2015年，社区获得省级侨胞之家称号。[1]

2021年11月，福建省爱卫办授予社区「2021年福建省卫生社区」称号。[2]

名胜古迹[edit]

在「第四次全国文物普查新发现未定级不可移动文物名录」中，本社区名下有后田白王府一处，属清代古建筑。[3]
