丰泽区人民政府网站记社区成立于2007年12月。博雅地名网则记，社区于2008年3月自霞淮社区析出，2009年3月授牌。[1][2]

据丰泽区人民政府网站的社区基本信息页（2026年1月发布），社区划分为25个居民小组，居住小区有19个，住户为2743户，流动人口1148人，常住人口为4233人。[2]

党组织方面，社区党总支于2009年3月设立，2018年6月改为党委，下属3个党支部。[2]

荣誉[edit]

2022年12月，福建省爱卫办命名东淮社区为「2022年福建省卫生社区」。[1]
