迎津社区位于市区中心，总面积约0.6平方千米。东界为田安路，西界为南城路，南侧以迎津街、温陵路为界，北侧直至津淮街。[2]

社区名称来自境内的迎津桥。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

清代此地属晋江县三十五都，民国时为晋江县法石镇迎春保。1951年县市分治后，这里划入泉州市，并分别隶属南台区东涂乡与东湖乡。1958年并入东海人民公社，成为迎津大队；1984年改为东海乡下的迎津村。[1][2]

2002年6月，原建福、迎津两个居委会整合，设立迎津社区。[2]

社区内楼宇70幢，多为商住楼与办公楼；常住人口4390人，共1386户；流动人口1506人；驻区事业单位20家。以上数据见丰泽区人民政府网站的社区基本信息页（2026年1月发布）。[2]

荣誉[edit]

社区先后获评省级文明社区，依次为2012至2014年度（2015年6月）、2015至2017年度（2018年6月）、2018至2020年度（2021年）、2021至2023年度（2024年）。[2]
