霞淮社区属丰泽街道，位于泉州市区中心，范围北起津淮街，南达泉秀街，东以刺桐西路为界，西以田安路为界，大体为霞淮小区一带的带状地区。[1]

社区旧称「下淮」，后雅称「霞淮」。据博雅地名网，明代叶氏自石庵村迁往涂门城外护城河下游，村名由此得来。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

古代此地属泉州府，称「泉郡三十五都霞淮乡」。[1]

明代，外地姓氏陆续迁入，曾、叶、许、蔡四姓各建宗祠，分设于聚落的四角。[1]

荣誉[edit]

霞淮社区获福建省爱卫办命名，称号为「2021年福建省卫生社区」，时间是2021年11月。[1]
