名称由来[edit]
博雅地名网说，这一带的村落形状像口袋，房前屋后多种荔枝，故名树兜；居委会驻地在树兜村，名称因此沿用。[2]
概况[edit]
辖区面积2.5平方千米，712户常住居民共2524人，设16个居民小组。社区由顶厝、四架、西埕、上塘、楼下五个自然村组成。[1][3]
侨乡与革命历史[edit]
树兜是闽南的侨乡，海外乡亲遍布各地。中共特委的辜仲钊、左明亮、颜嘉祥等人，曾在这一带开展革命工作。[1][2]
社区内以“明新”为名的学校、华侨医院与幼儿园，都可追溯到二十世纪泗水同盟会创办的《明新阅书报社》。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2022年12月，社区被福建省爱国卫生运动委员会命名为2022年福建省卫生社区。[2]
社区还曾获先进基层党组织、文明社区等荣誉。[1]
