华星社区是福建省泉州市鲤城区常泰街道下辖的社区，位于鲤城西部。其北面与浮桥街道的岐山社区相邻，南面紧接树兜社区，西侧是锦田社区，东侧与金龙街道的金柄社区接壤。[1]

名称由来[edit]

境内有一座花山，又称花岩、华岩。后来大队范围扩大，便以「华」字冠首，寓意新中华之星。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

合作化时期这里曾叫华星互助组，原属南安县管辖。1958年起归泉州市江南公社管辖，1984年改设华星村委会，2003年村改居后改设华星社区居委会。[1][2]

华星村委会旧辖坑柄、蔡塘坑、小锦田四个自然村。[1][3]

人口与面积[edit]

社区占地1.7平方千米，现有人口约2000余人、450多户（2012年社区概况）。[1]

荣誉[edit]

社区得到上级机关多次表彰，所获称号包括先进基层党组织与文明社区。[1]
