火炬社区是福建省泉州市鲤城区江南街道下辖的社区，东邻福厦路，南邻南环路，北临兴贤路，总面积约1.9平方千米。[1][2]社区名称取其寓意朝气蓬勃、向前发展的意思。[2]社区前身是1961年组成的火炬大队，由前浦、上埕、塔前、后墩、大房五个自然村合并而成。[2]2003年村改居，设立火炬社区居委会。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

1961年体制下放后，前浦、上埕、塔前、后墩、大房这五个自然村合为火炬大队；1984年，它改为江南乡下属的火炬村委会，办公于上埕。2003年村改居，此地设为火炬社区居委会。[2]

人口与治安[edit]

鲤城区政府网社区简介载，此地计618户，常住居民1865人，另有约1.3万流动人口，该页未注统计年份。[1]治安方面，社区配置6名联防队员，主要路口装有监控摄像头。[1]
