梅山社区是开元街道下辖的社区，由原梅山、小山、梅石等居委会整合而成。[2]社区名取自境内的梅石、梅山两条街，各取一字合成。[1]辖区内有朱熹小山丛竹坊、梅石书院旧址和陈公纯墓等文物。[3][4][5]

历史沿革[edit]

建政前此地属梅石保，建政后称梅石街居委会。1956年规划时分为梅石、梅山两条街，“文化大革命”期间又合并为一条街，称红梅街。[1]

文化[edit]

梅山社区于2022年12月被福建省爱国卫生运动委员会授予「2022年福建省卫生社区」称号。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

朱熹小山丛竹坊位于模范巷，原为朱文公书院，系朱熹讲学的旧址。明嘉靖间由通判陈尧典重建牌坊，清康熙四十年（1701年）又由通判徐之霖重建。[5]文革期间书院建筑被毁，原址后改建为精神病院；2015年医院迁往台商投资区，2020年复建小山丛竹历史文化公园，重建不二祠、晚晴室、过化亭、诚正堂等建筑。[5]

梅石书院旧址位于梅石街，在泉州一中校舍内。明嘉靖八年（1529年）为纪念罗伦（号一峰）设书院，其后于清乾隆十五年（1750年）起重新修建，并改名梅石书院。西侧岩石裂开成五瓣，形似梅花，称梅花石，至今尚存。[3][6]

陈公纯墓为民国时期的墓葬，列入泉州市市、县级文物保护单位名录，位于本社区。[4][7]
