升文社区位于鲤中街道西部的边缘，属城乡结合部。社区的东侧止于甲第巷北端，西侧靠城西路，南面沿宫后巷、五塔巷直到龙头山，北面隔着西街。[1][2][3]

社区名称源自境内的古升文山，辖区内有奉圣宫、朱鑑祠、古店朱衙等古迹。[4][5]

名胜古迹[edit]

据《泉州市市、县级文物保护单位实有名录》，奉圣宫为明至民国的建筑，朱鑑祠与古店朱衙都是明代的建筑，三处均列于升文社区。[5]
