伍堡社区位于鲤城区南端，濒临晋江江畔；社区前身为紫江、江滨、益宝三个居委会，2002年合并设立。[1]社区内的顺济桥遗址为福建省文物保护单位。[3]

历史沿革[edit]

伍堡原为明末清初泉州居民片区的地名，古时该片区称“慈济”铺，每铺都设有神庙。辖区内的紫江宫有“紫帽朝江”的匾额，伍堡因此又称紫江。[1][2]

清代此处属慈济铺的紫江境，民国归南薰镇紫江保管辖。新中国成立后划入晋江县南区，1952年建政时隶属泉州市。[1]2002年，紫江、江滨与益宝居委会并为伍堡社区。[1][2]

名胜古迹[edit]

社区内的紫江宫供奉保生大帝，溪灵殿供奉四王爷，两宫于1998年至2001年组合重建，恢复明清建筑风格。[2]

顺济桥遗址坐落在堤后路50号一带，是跨越晋江的古桥遗存，南宋嘉定四年（1211年）始建，现存桥墩11个，2020年增补为福建省文物保护单位。[3]

文化[edit]

2024年12月，社区上榜「2024年福建省儿童友好社区」名单。[1]2006年，伍堡新街被福建省授予「百城万柜无假货」示范街称号。[2]
