笋浯社区位于泉州市区西南部，在晋江中下游北岸，属海滨街道[1]。社区名称因笋浯溪而来，笋浯又名菜洲，原称蔡公洲，相传明末一位姓蔡的官员辞官退隐于此钓鱼，因「蔡」与「菜」同音，遂称菜公洲，后简称菜洲[1]。辖区总面积约1.34平方千米[1]。
历史沿革[edit]
这一带的村落始于明朝时期。2002年5月，原笋浯村委会改制为社区，社区由菜洲、金山、旧美厝等自然村组成[1][2]。1988年11月，笋浯村由浮桥镇划归海滨街道[3]。
辖区[edit]
社区东临笋浯溪，西临晋江中下游河道，博雅地名网载辖区内驻有五建、农资、工商、劳动局等企事业单位[2]。
