此村临近205国道，是从永安进入洪田镇时遇到的第一个村子，博雅地名网称它为洪田镇的北大门。[1] 村名因山垅的形状似井而得名。[2] 村子建于明朝。1984年2月设立村民委员会，此后归洪田乡管辖。[3]
