留山村位于洪田镇东南部，205国道和永武高速公路穿过辖区，是林木资源丰富的行政村。[1] 村名的来历是这样的：古时一刘姓人家最先迁来，地名称刘佳山；刘姓绝嗣后，邓姓迁入，改称留佳山；80年代初，为便于书写，改为留山。[2]
