水尾村位于曹远镇，因地处溪流的尾部而得名。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

水尾村在明清时期隶属永安县二十七都。1934年，此地归大湖区曹远乡；1942年仍属曹远乡。1950年改属安砂区曹远乡，1951年9月转入大湖区坑边乡。1984年成立村民委员会，同年9月重归曹远乡，1992年9月归曹远镇。[1]
