吴家坊村位于曹远镇西北部，距镇政府约2公里，距永安市区约10公里，海拔250米。村庄位于307省道沿线。[1][2]

明清时期隶属永安县二十七都。[1]

经济[edit]

村域内石灰石等矿产丰富，村里自80年代起兴办企业，先后办起加油站、汽车修理厂、建材厂等村办和联办企业，解决了部分劳动力的出路。[1]
