下早村位于曹远镇西南部，距镇政府约19公里，海拔240米。村内煤炭和森林资源较为丰富，下辖多个自然村。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

明清时期隶属永安县三十一都，民国时期划入大湖区。1950年至1969年间，所在地先后归安砂、曹远、坑边管辖，1969年起重归曹远。[1]

1972年，村里修通了村公路。[2]

荣誉[edit]

2024年7月，下早村被命名为「2023年度三明市达标“六无”村（社区）」。[1]
