下墩村在曹远镇中部，地处九龙溪沿岸，距镇政府约8公里，海拔180米。村内土地肥沃，便于耕作。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

明清时期隶属永安县三十一都，民国时期划入大湖区。1950年至1969年间，所在地先后归安砂、曹远、坑边管辖，1969年起重归曹远。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2024年7月，下墩村被命名为「2023年度三明市达标“六无”村（社区）」，同月又被确定为「2021—2023年三明市达标“六无”村（社区）」。[1]
