吴坊村位于大湖镇境内。村名的来历：清朝时吴氏家族先在此居住，此后刘氏、魏氏也迁入，共同形成了村落。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村落始建于宋朝。宋、元、明三代此地属沙县的二十七都，1452年永安设县，村落随之归永安县的二十七都。[1]

民国时属岭后乡，1950年划入第三区大湖乡，1951年改回岭后乡，1955年至1956年间先后归大湖区与贡川区，1958年10月起属大湖公社。1984年设村民委员会，隶属大湖乡；1992年改属大湖镇。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2024年7月，吴坊村获命名「2023年度三明市达标“六无”村（社区）」。[1]
