魏坊村位于永安西北部，离大湖集镇约9公里。村名来自魏姓人家在此建房定居。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

明清时期此地隶属永安县的二十七都。民国年间称岭后乡，村属其中。1950年起属第三区的大湖乡，次年回到岭后乡，1955年后分属大湖区和贡川区。[1]

1958年10月起，村属大湖公社；1984年方设立村民委员会，隶属大湖乡；1992年改属大湖镇。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

魏坊红军独立第七团驻地旧址即兴山堂宗祠，位于村内的兴山堂，属一般不可移动文物。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2024年7月，魏坊村获命名「2023年度三明市达标“六无”村（社区）」。[1]
