新洋村位于大湖镇境内，距大湖集镇约20公里。它原名洋梅头，1949年新中国成立后改称新洋村。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

这里在明清两代归永安县二十七都管辖。民国时隶属岭后乡，1950年划入第三区大湖乡，1951年改回岭后乡，1955年至1956年间先后归大湖区与贡川区。[1]

1958年10月起属大湖公社；1984年设立新洋村村民委员会，隶属大湖乡；1992年改属大湖镇。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2024年7月，新洋村获命名「2023年度三明市达标“六无”村（社区）」，又被确定为「2021-2023年三明市达标“六无”村（社区）」。[1]
