张荆村位于贡川镇东南部高山地区，平均海拔约970米，村内有大片毛竹林与生态公益林。[1][3]

村名来自原先的张公山和熊荆山，两地名各取一字合成；旧称熊荆山。[1][3]

历史沿革[edit]

村庄始建于唐代。宋元明时期属沙县二十六都的发冲堡，民国时期归龙岭乡。[1][3]

1951年至1954年间先后属荆岗乡、张荆乡，1958年10月列入贡川人民公社。[2]

1984年2月设立村民委员会。[2]

2019年6月，村庄列入「第五批中国传统村落」名录。[1][3]

地理环境[edit]

村域内有两座千米级山峰，一为张公岩，一为和尚顶。[3]

据百度百科，现存的福兴桥为元代所建的单孔木伸臂梁廊屋桥，2000年列为市级文物保护单位。[3][4]
