三畲村位于西洋镇东北部，距永安市城区约20公里。[1]

1959年1月西洋公社时期，取辖区内人口最多的聚落“廖三畲”的简称作村名。2024年7月，该村被命名为「2023年度三明市达标“六无”村（社区）」，同月又被确定为「2021-2023年三明市达标“六无”村（社区）」。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1976年村里通电，1986年用上自来水，1996年户户通电话，村内主干道完成水泥硬化。1984年2月设立三畲村村民委员会，归西洋镇政府管理。此前，明清时属永安二十七都，民国时属永安县上桂乡。1950年划为第二区上坪区，1956年9月改属第六区西洋区。1958年10月划归西洋人民公社。[1]
