下街村位于西洋集镇所在地，是西洋镇的一个行政村。[1]

2024年11月，该村被认定为「2024年度福建省“一村一品”专业村」（油柿）。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1990年建成办公大楼。1984年8月，原下街大队改设西洋镇下街村民委员会。此前，该地在明清为永安二十八都的一部分，民国时属西洋乡，1950年归第六区西洋乡，1958年10月成为西洋人民公社下属的一个大队。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

村中保存的红军宣传标语、漫画，2011年列为「永安市级重点革命历史遗址遗迹文物保护单位」。[2]
