新街村是西洋镇下辖的行政村，位于集镇中心区。[1]

此地原先已有旧街村，村名取“新街”，与之相对。2024年7月，该村被命名为「2023年度三明市达标“六无”村（社区）」。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1984年成立新街村民委员会，此后一直沿用这一名称，村里还建有1990年完工的办公大楼。此前，明清时属永安二十八都，民国为西洋乡的一部分，1949年后归西洋区西洋乡。1958年10月并入西洋公社，成为其新街大队。[1]
