吉岭村是西洋镇下辖的行政村，位于镇的西北角，距镇政府约6公里。[1]

姜姓先民初到此地开垦，见地形如鱼罩，罩下有一道高岭，遂取吉祥平安之意为村名。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

明清时期属永安二十八都，民国时期属永安县西洋乡。1950年归第六区西洋区西洋乡，1951年改属岭头乡。1958年10月划归西洋人民公社，1984年2月设吉岭村村民委员会，归西洋镇政府管辖。[1]

经济[edit]

2023年12月，吉岭村被认定为「2023年度福建省“一村一品”专业村」（笋竹）。2024年7月，又被命名为「2023年度三明市达标“六无”村（社区）」。[1]
