社区靠近新桥村，辖区内有一大片水面（洋），为与新桥村相区别而取名新桥洋。[1]

社区内的唐田王庙、圆明寺和飞云殿，已列入市级保护寺院。[2]

荣誉[edit]

2021年4月，社区被命名为「2021年三明市民主法治示范村（社区）」。[1]
