忠义是永安市燕东街道下辖的社区，位于永安市区中心，东至东门河，西至燕江中路，南至大同路与东门路，北至燕江东路。[1]

社区因境内有忠义街而得名。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1452年永安设县，此地一带在明代属太平坊。明万历年间此地称忠义坊，1944年改称仁义坊。[1]

解放初设仁义居委会，“文革”期间改名跃进街居委会，1980年7月以所在的忠义街更名，定为忠义社区居委会。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

社区内的文庙又称永安市博物馆，庙内供有孔子像，并陈列历代文人的生平、著述和遗物。馆中设有永安抗战文化历史陈列馆，为「三明市青少年爱国主义重点教育基地」。[2]

社区内的永安市基督教暨福音堂，是永安市基督教三自委员会所在地。[2]

荣誉[edit]

2017年5月，社区被认定为「第四批国家级充分就业社区」。2021年11月，社区被福建省爱卫办命名为「2021年福建省卫生社区」。2024年7月，社区被命名为「2023年度三明市达标“六无”村（社区）」。[1]
