溪源乡位于福建省三明市建宁县东北部，地处闽赣交界，与泰宁、黎川两县接壤，距县城约32公里。[1]

全乡面积142平方千米，林地约18.8万亩，森林覆盖率为88.2%。[1] 境内的双旻峰是主要的自然景观之一，所产的「溪源明笋」获国家级地理标志证明商标。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

溪源旧称楚上溪口，因地处东溪与楚溪汇合处而得名。1950年，因驻地村名与建宁城外的溪口同名，改称溪源，乡名后来以驻地的溪源村命名。[3]

民国时期这里属第二区的东安乡。1934年1月，黎南县在都团村设立县委和县苏维埃政府。[3]

建宁解放后，溪源先归第四区管辖，1953年区政府自黄坊迁入此地，三年后改称区公所。公社化时期，这里于1958年设为公社，次年又迁往黄坊，直到1972年才由九个大队重新组成溪源公社。1984年，这里改设乡政府。[3]

地理环境[edit]

乡境属武夷山脉，山林广布，有银杏、红豆杉等植物。[5] 据百度百科，双旻石高峰海拔1582.9米，是建宁县闽江源国家森林公园的主要景区。[2]

人口民族[edit]

建宁县人民政府网站载，全乡总人口8688人，共2136户，页面未注明统计年份；百度百科的2019年末户籍人口为8631人。[1][2]

经济[edit]

全乡林地约18.8万亩，其中毛竹林约15万亩。[1] 溪源明笋的制作工艺已列入第七批省级非物质文化遗产名录。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2014年夏，环境保护部将「2012—2013年度国家级生态乡镇」的称号给了溪源乡。[4] 2019年，溪源乡获「海西信用建设示范乡」之名；2020年，它又成为省级文明乡镇。[1] 同年12月，福建省爱卫办授予溪源乡「福建省卫生乡镇」的称号。[4]
