垅源村在均口镇东北部，是革命老区基点村，距县城23公里，距集镇7公里。[1]
「2023年福建省卫生村」称号于2024年1月授予本村；同年7月，村庄又被命名为「2023年度三明市达标“六无”村（社区）」。[1]
地名由来[edit]
村名取自田垅与小溪的发源之处。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
1997年撤乡并镇后，村属均口镇。[1]
1984年改称村民委员会。1981年，因从岭腰大队划出，另设垅源大队，隶属均口公社。[1]
经济[edit]
2012年全村产值逾460万元，农业部分为251万元。该年的村财收入为8万元，农民人均纯收入是7400元。[2]
