隆下村位于均口镇南部，距县城29公里，距镇政府3公里，省道富下线贯穿全境。[1]

2023年1月，村庄由司法部、民政部命名为「第九批全国民主法治示范村（社区）」；2021年4月，被命名为「2021年三明市民主法治示范村（社区）」；2021年11月，又获「2021年福建省卫生村」称号。[1]

地名由来[edit]

村名原作「龙下」，后用雅字改写为「隆下」，寓兴隆之意。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

解放前隶属宁安乡，宋元时则为南乡的隆下保，明初改属南区的隆下保。[1]

1997年撤乡并镇，村划归均口镇。此前，1984年由生产大队改为村民委员会；1968年设隆下革命领导小组；1958年改为人民公社的生产大队；1956年隶属第三区公所，设隆下乡人民委员会；1950年为隆下人民政府。[1]

2011年，农民人均纯收入为7410元。[1]
