芰坑村位于均口镇南部，是与明溪、宁化两县交界的高山村，村域属闽江正源地段。博雅地名网载其距建宁县城42公里，距均口镇15公里。[1]

2024年1月，村庄获「2023年福建省卫生村」称号；2024年7月，又被命名为「2023年度三明市达标“六无”村（社区）」。[1]

地名由来[edit]

村旁的坑较大，坑中石块多呈菱形，因此取名「芰坑」，芰即菱角。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1997年撤乡并镇后，村属均口镇。[1]

1984年改称芰坑村村民委员会，当时仍隶属均口乡；此前的1980年，芰坑大队在均口公社之下成立。[1]
